didi d'edada

Didi "Da-Da-Da"

Didi d’Edada is a drag pariah who believes in showmanship over shade. Originally hatched in the windswept wasteland of Lethbridge, Alberta, she spent more than a decade as the patron saint, mascot, and occasional health code violation of Theatre Outré and Didi’s Playhaus, where she conceived, produced, and starred in countless cabarets, musicals, and spectacularly questionable ideas before fleeing her pathetic province. Now living her best Anne of Green Gables fever dream on Prince Edward Island, Didi continues to cause queer chaos with a never-ending parade of half-baked schemes, ill-advised dreams, and suspiciously ambitious theatrical projects. She is the co-creator and star of Queerly Canadian, a campy Canuck drag cabaret alongside her drag son, Castrati, the opera-singing eunuch,  and has brought her unique blend of comedy, creativity, and heartfelt storytelling to stages, festivals, and classrooms—including her popular drag persona development and performance workshops which she conceived as drag faculty at Mount Allison University. Whether she’s hosting, headlining, or teaching the next generation of performers, Didi leaves audiences laughing, blushing, and wondering if they should call their therapist or buy tickets to her next show.
